Spring is here, time to sow

Spring is upon us. It’s been a slow start with some small frost remaining some mornings, but these next couple of days will be warm enough to sow and finalising the preparation of our raised garden beds and rows of soil for sowing seeds. Ben and I purchased a bundle of seeds to sow vegetables, fruits, herbs and native edible bushes on our acreage. Slugs and moths

We’ve had our first few challenges with our petite green house. We purchased a greenhouse from Kogan 6x3m and loosened the soil with a plough. We planted broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, capsicum, onions, shallots and some lettuce and spinach to start. It flourished and grew well but the moths started water everything green. I was trying to capture them by hand but I couldn’t keep up. I read somewhere about mint keeping them away, so I planted some in there and it seemed to work.
